One Fish, Two Fish…

One Fish, Two Fish…

“Knock, knock!”

“Who’s there?”

“Surprise!
Well, hello to you too,

And a Cock-a-Doodle-Doo.
I know you paid in advance
For a Cinderella
But tonight;
You’re getting a Snow White
In a Riding Hood.
Pure as un-stomped cocaine
The un-popped bottle of Champagne
A brand new soap on a rope.
Come on,
Write your name on the snow.
Open wide,
Here’s a little X
To mark the spot
Put the E in ecstasy,
Sans panties time!
Let’s get your game on
Your groove on
Your call
Your dime.
But if I were you,
I’d waste no time.”

“Apple?”

“Reality doesn’t impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.”

          1. Rob, that’s me, zany and quirky too. I have a crazy ass sense of humor. I love the Grinch, I completely forgot about him and Cindy Lou Who. The narration is fabulous, I can hear it, “and his heart grew three sizes that day”. Thank you for the memories! 🙂

    1. Thank you Lola, you’re so very kind. We all need an escape in one way of another, so true. This was a blast to write, I laughed all the way through. Anaïs Nin never lets me down and I’m a big fan of Hugo. I hope that you had a marvelous Monday, please enjoy a wonderful and creative week. Take good care. ~ Mia

  2. This is wonderful, an adult take on fairy tales I take. Your Snow White in a riding hood sounds like a game girl. Are you saying that enchantment of childhood can only be recovered with increasingly baroque amusements in adulthood or am I wide of the mark?

  3. A saucy start to the week! (And because I’m a couple of posts behind, I’ve just read One Fish, Two Fish and Paramore’s Canary in quick succession. That’s quite a neck-snapping transition moving from one to the other.) 🙂

    1. Matt, that’s great, “neck-snapping transition”. Oh how true, from dark and depressing to sleazy humor, ha-ha! 🙂 Delighted that you were able to do it. Monday should be silly and fun, as it seems to be the most dreaded day of the week. *Laughing* Thank you for your wonderful words and I hope that you had a marvelous Monday. Please take good care. ~ Mia

  4. Creative and whimsical. Looking for his princess, but realky just a lay (he paid for) followed by a poison apple. And not even a Cinderella, a Snow White in a riding hood. Not what he asked for, but then it’s seems there is a comment about princess’s and ‘escorts or hookers’ like the guy is living in some fairytale, and it ends when his time the money paid for is gone. Very fascinating.

    1. Thank you Mandi, yes, much silliness here. Every so often, not sure what comes over me, and I write something kind of ridiculous, which makes me laugh. I liked the idea of the fairy tale and storybook characters it seemed to play into the whimsical nature of the effort. Thank you again for your generous comment. Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday filled with tons of creativity. ~ Mia
