Bang-Bang

Bang-Bang
The siren calls
“Hello” (click)
Is life everything
Good books claim?

We’re all voyeurs
In search of discretion
Peppering wounds
With remnants of pain;
I’m fluent in English
And Silence too.
I keep turpentine
And paint thinner
With my hard liquor;
Open the window
I quiver and shiver
Soilborne Red
I answer to Blue;
Guilt and jealousy
Never served well
Eating crow
Rather displeasing.

Bang-Bang
The siren calls

“Hello” (click)
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
“My Fair Lady”
 Please hold my hand;
Time to fall down

Dream forever
A field of poppies
So sweet the smell.

Art was not founded
By Sunlight:
That’s why man’s prone
Painting in caves.

“Find what you love and let it kill you.”
― Charles Bukowski

Incensed

Serendipità Ksenija Spanec

Incensed

Flesh unlike thistle
Naked feet, a field of thorns
Charting withered pangs
Bearing memories’ crosses
Wiping brows — with heart stained sleeves

“Life is thickly sown with thorns, and I know no other remedy than to pass quickly through them. The longer we dwell on our misfortunes, the greater is their power to harm us.”     Help Nerve Fearless
— Voltaire

Ponds of Tears

Jewish Couple Wearing Yellow Stars – Photographer Unknown

Ponds of Tears
10 Words Only

Arrive with a whimper, leaving the world a Cheyne-Stokes whisper.

“The life of the dead is set in the memory of the living.”
― Marcus Tullius Cicero, Philippics  MisstepFleeting

The photograph above is of a Jewish couple in the Budapest ghetto wearing yellow stars on their jackets.  These badges were just one of the many psychological tactics used by the Nazis to isolate and dehumanize the Jews of Europe.

Mephistopheles

Untitled by Benjamin Larrabee 1966-19677

Mephistopheles

No scent
No sound
Seething
Intent
Rob blind
Hopes and dreams
Sneaks
Lurks
Invited
Between the sheets
Lays with you
Lies next to you
Fucks you
Fucks with you
Professes love
Empty with glares
Chews you up
Throws you down
Fate’s teeth wait
Consume
The soul you give
Freely

“No evil dooms us hopelessly except the evil we love, and desire to continue in, and make no effort to escape from.”
