Wooed by your smooth-talking tongue
Enticed by devotion
Deserted by emotion

    1. Thank you for your comment. True, we do take ourselves everywhere we go, there’s no getting away from that. I think Francesca Woodman captures an element of that idea in her thought provoking photograph. Please enjoy the rest of your day!

  1. Love this one Mia. So raw and real. And that quote is so great. Of course, I already knew that photo was Francesca Woodman even before reading the caption. That girl was born in the wrong time. Her work would be so valued and noticed today. In fact, it is valued and noticed today. Unfortunate and sad that she isn’t around to see it.
Hope you’re having a great Sunday.

    1. Staci, thank you. We have all met individuals like this, right? Sadly I think we ignore the red flags sometimes, or that little warning voice we don’t want to hear, until it is too late. I’m really pleased that you like the quote. Søren Kierkegaard is considered to be the first existentialist philosopher, kind of interesting. What can I say about Francesca Woodman, her work speaks for itself! She was so young and to possess such a strong sense of self-expression, sadly I agree with you, she was way ahead of her time. Thank you, the weather is finally lovely and warm, hope you’re getting some sunshine and enjoying your Sunday too!

    1. Fortunately this is not autobiographical, but I believe it’s pretty close to the nature of being fooled. Is there ever a good time? 🙂 I am, thank you, wishing you well too. Enjoy the rest of your day. ~ Mia

          1. Indeed I can.

I read in that piece I quoted someone who was taken, perhaps unaware, but taken nonetheless. My guess is that you are the one inspiring the devotion and not likely to be as easily swooned.

          2. Truthfully, it did not sound like you understood, as you continued to refer to the “YOU”. Your words, “My guess is that you are the one inspiring the devotion and not likely to be as easily swooned.” If you were referring to “life in general”, I offer this in the nicest way, add that to your comment in the future.
